Acceptable Use Policy

Draft policy: align this with your upstream datacenter, VPS, dedicated-server, registrar, network, and abuse requirements before launch.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Purpose

This policy describes uses of BlueLine Hosting services that are prohibited or restricted in order to protect customers, systems, networks, providers, and the public.

Prohibited Activity

  • Unlawful activity or content.
  • Unauthorized access, credential theft, exploitation, or attempts to compromise systems or networks.
  • Malware distribution, botnets, phishing, or deceptive impersonation.
  • Spam or messaging activity that violates applicable law or provider rules.
  • Denial-of-service attacks, abusive scanning, or disruptive network activity.
  • Infringement of intellectual-property rights.
  • Use that materially degrades shared infrastructure or creates security risk for other customers.

Resource Use

Shared hosting may be subject to fair-use limits for CPU, memory, storage, processes, email, database activity, and network resources. Publish measurable limits where possible.

Security

Customers are expected to maintain reasonable software updates, credential security, and application security. BlueLine may take protective action when a compromised or vulnerable service threatens other systems.

Abuse Reports

Provide a dedicated abuse contact before launch if required by your upstream providers. Reports should include sufficient information to identify the affected service and alleged conduct.

Enforcement

Depending on severity, BlueLine may investigate, request remediation, rate-limit, suspend, isolate, or terminate affected services in accordance with the final Terms of Service and applicable law.
